  • Save Bulli ED Group, in 2012,  fought to keep Bulli Hospital Emergency Department open 24 x 7 x 365 days / year. Save Bulli ED Group consisted of mainly northern suburbs residents. Bulli Hospital ED was an important community service in the Northern Suburbs. Although I had retired from the local political scene at the 2004 Wollongong Council Elections, the issue mattered greatly to my family. Consequently, I participated in the Save Bulli ED campaign – administering the Save Bulli ED campaign’s Digital Media presence (WordPress Website – Facebook), as well as backup Media Interviewee. Ultimately the facility was closed, however it was replaced by an Urgent Care Centre.

#SouthCoastChapter of #FellowshipFirstFleeters commemorative lunch - departure of the #firstfleet May 16 2026 Somehow last month we managed to run a virtual MS Teams meeting for #FellowshipFirstFleeters at #firstfleethouse in Woolloomooloo despite still recovering from the January 2026 storm damage to the top and ground floors - with computers slotted in on top of upturned tables and around piles of books & fans etc - one day it will all be restored Last month I shared on Illawarra Women in #WW2 at #DaptoProbus at Dapto Leagues Club - seen here with my WW1 Nurse Teddy and fellow #fellowshipfirstfleeters member John Boyd Amazing storm impacts at #McCauley'sThirroul #Southey earlier in 2026 - the waves came up higher than usual and the sand was washed up onto the street and on top of the cycleway David Christian shared our trip to Raja Ampat the Indonesian Spice Islands with the South Coast Chapter of the #fellowshipfirstfleeters and then a lovely long lunch afterwards with chats on Family History and DNA Reminiscing about a great lunch with Botany Bay Chapter of #fellowshipfirstfleeters earlier in 2026 - including with my Aunty Enid and another Small Parker cousin Brooke Smith A lazy dinner at sea a few days back and dinner with the captain Afternoon at Pulau Boo Kecil which is Bahasa for Little Boo Island in Raja Ampat Before the rain closed in, and where our sundowner drinks were planned today, at the old Belgique Dutch Fort at Banda Neira Indonesia
